Ventura County Writers Club

“A Writer’s Life to Date: Write to Please Yourself and Publication Will Follow” to be the topic for the June meeting of the Ventura County Writers Club. This will be discussed by author Dallas Woodburn.
“I’ve found that often by writing what you want to write and what makes you feel energized and creatively fulfilled, publication will follow,” says Ms. Woodburn. Ms. Woodburn will also talk about her non-profit youth literacy organization Write On! which empowers youth through reading and writing.
The opening speaker will be her father, Woody Woodburn, who writes a weekly general interest column every Saturday on the Op-Ed page for the Ventura County Star as well as The Daily Breeze in Torrance.
The meeting will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. on June 14, at the club’s new meeting place, the Pleasant Valley Senior Center, 1605 Burnley St., Camarillo.
