Memoir Workshop in California

Santa Barbara literary agent Toni Lopopolo will lead a new workshop in Thousand Oaks for writers of memoirs who want to edit their personal narrative story into a marketable book. The four-Sunday workshop begins October 7.
A former executive editor at Macmillan and St. Martin’s Press, Ms. Lopopolo knows what it takes to get a book published. The Memoir Workshop will cover the ten most important elements for a successful memoir plus a reading list of classic memoirs and the best of new releases.
The workshop is limited to eight writers who must submit the first five pages of their first chapter before acceptance. The cost for four Sunday workshops is $250. The workshop will be held on four consecutive Sundays: October 7, 14, 21, and 29, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. in Thousand Oaks, California.
