The Very Short Fiction Contest is open to all writers. Any story that has not appeared in a print publication is welcome. Any length stories from 300 to 3,000 words. First place: $2,000, publication in Glimmer Train Stories, ten copies. Second place: $500 (Or, if accepted for publication, $700 and ten copies of that issue.) Third place: $300 (Or, if accepted for publication, $700 and ten copies of that issue.)
